Fees may vary depending on the length and complexity of your consultation, as well as the type of service provided (including procedures, care plans, and chronic disease management).

Procedures
Procedures incur a gap of $50-150 depending on the complexity of the procedure and this will be discussed by your treating doctor at the time.

Payment
Payment is required at the time of your consultation.
We accept:

Medicare rebates can be processed immediately after your appointment.
Did not attend policy
At East Launceston Medical Centre, we understand that plans can change. If you are unable to attend your appointment, we ask that you please contact us as early as possible so we can offer the appointment to another patient.
A missed appointment, or cancellation with less than 2 hours’ notice, may be recorded as a Did Not Attend (DNA) appointment. This also applies if you arrive too late for the clinician to safely or practically complete your appointment.
A $50 DNA fee may apply for missed appointments or late cancellations. This fee is not Medicare-rebatable and must be paid privately.
We provide appointment reminders as a courtesy, but patients remain responsible for remembering and attending their booked appointments.
If you are unable to attend due to sudden illness, an emergency, communication difficulties, or other compassionate circumstances, please contact the practice. Fee waivers may be considered at the discretion of the Practice Manager or treating clinician.
Missed appointments can delay your own care and prevent other patients from accessing timely appointments. Thank you for helping us keep appointments available for everyone.
